New Idea.

After a discussion with my tutor, the final isnt going to be the book (even though I had designed a front cover for it, above) but more of a typographic poster or maybe 2, to build the image of a certain aspect from the garden.

The aim is to make sure that the text is easy enough to read, as it may be a poem or gardening life metaphor that builds up the image. Problems with this is following to sentances in a certain way, or making it clear enough to read, although my tutor says this could be a good thing as it takes more to look into and understand.

So now I start the typographic quest and try to get it done.

Ideas

Initial ideas up to now arent exactly powerfull or exciting, but more importantly they are ideas. Idea is to base designs around gardening metaphors, that relate to aspects of life. How I would display these I am unsure of, maybe just as a poster, or thinking about a small booklet to do.
For this idea iv been searching the internet for garden based metaphors and found all sorts. Such as . . .

Bad seed.
Nip it in the bud before it gets out of control.
Prune out the dead wood.

Putting down roots.
Grass is always greener on the other side.
This is just first idea's and for all I know they could be completely wrong. But something along the likes of a book displaying gardening metaphors, typographically I think would be good. But its early days so anything could happen.

Typo!

First of all a general look into the world of typo. Just some general stuff. Usually gets the ball rolling on what to do. Small inspirational typography that relate to gardens, flowers etc.
